Denpasar, June 7, 2024 – PT Nusantara Sejahtera Raya Tbk (Cinema XXI, stock code: CNMA), the biggest cinema chain operator in Indonesia with more than 35 years of experience in the film exhibition industry, just opened a new cinema location in ICON BALI Mall in Denpasar. The newly launched cinema location, located in the Sanur area, is equipped with IMAX® with Laser technology, featuring a next-generation projector with 4K laser and IMAX’s 12-channel sound to give an even more vivid movie-viewing experience.
Cinema XXI Director Dody Suhartono explains that the presence of Cinema XXI at ICON BALI Mall is a tangible manifestation of the company's commitment to strengthening business expansion. ICON BALI XXI is the first cinema in Bali to be equipped with IMAX® with Laser technology, providing wider access to premium quality cinema experiences for the public. Located in an area with a high volume of tourist visits, ICON BALI XXI is projected to become the latest entertainment destination icon with a contemporary concept, aimed at boosting economic activity and tourism in Bali.
Audiences will be further spoiled with the availability of IMAX® with Laser, which is equipped with the latest projection technology to deliver sharper, brighter image quality and better contrast with the widest color coverage on the cinema screen. Now, people in Bali do not need to go out of town to enjoy the best movie-watching experience with IMAX® with Laser technology.

ICON BALI XXI has 2 deluxe studios, each with a capacity of 144 seats, 1 Premiere Studio with 40 seats, and 1 IMAX location with 264 seats. The first IMAX® with Laser Location in Bali
The presence of the IMAX theater at ICON BALI XXI marks the implementation of an agreement for ten new, state-of-the-art IMAX® with Laser systems across Indonesia started from 2023 to 2027. Until June 7, 2024, Cinema XXI, in collaboration with IMAX Corporation, has introduced 17 IMAX® locations in Indonesia. Apart from ICON BALI XXI, movie-lovers can experience watching in the IMAX® with Laser locations at Gandaria City XXI, Kelapa Gading XXI, Margo City XXI, The Park Semarang XXI, Summarecon Mall Bandung XXI, Bintaro Xchange 2 XXI, AEON Mall Deltamas XXI, Alam Sutera XXI, and Living World Kota Wisata XXI.
